The shoot was over, and now we had to form a sync assembly from the transcripts taken from our interviews. This meant reading through the transcripts and picking out the most important parts to form the narrative and plan the structure of the documentary with the unscripted footage in mind.
We were given some sample footage from a documentary by Sam and Helen to create the sync assembly using the transcript and timecodes in the script. Here is the interview from my sync assembly:
Though this was a little tedious, this will save us a lot of time in the edit and it was a very useful thing to learn.
